Come along with me…

“Love is the greatest of all gifts, it’s the only thing that remains when we are gone, so let us cultivate it well while we are here.” ~Tamara

I have learned so much along the journey of my life and while there has been hardship, pain, suffering and loss, among many other difficult seasons of life, there certainly has been the antithesis of those things in spades. Love and joy, happiness and peace, friendship and discovery, adventure and growth – the list could go on and on.

I stand by the biblical truth that love is the greatest of all gifts. 1 Cor.13:13 NIV It’s through my own experiences, I have learned that love is the only thing that we get to take with us when we head heavenward, and it is the only thing that remains when our loved ones are gone.

Love. It’s not supposed to be complicated, but we don’t always start off knowing that. It took my first marriage nearly a decade to learn this. Unconditional love isn’t about me.

Life is messy. And if we are reflecting, we will realize that the messiness of life has the capacity to grow us and teach us along its difficult path.

I have longed to be in this place. A space where I can be real with the stories of life, sharing in some tears and sorrow yet imparting some encouragement for tomorrow.

Whatever you are going through, please know you are not alone. I am so glad you are here.

I have been witness to so much of the collateral beauty that comes through dark & difficult times. God’s Glory is on display in our lives. I hope you can see it. Slow down, just a little now. Take a look around. What do you hear, what do you see, what do you smell? Take it all in, even for just a moment; look – His beauty is all around us each and every day.
